Family policies
What families ask before the first class.
Photos of your child
We ask your written permission before we share any photo of your child, on this site, in newsletters or on social media, and you can change your answer at any time. We never put a child's name with a photo, and the photos on this site are examples until we replace them with our own.
In the pool, and watching
An instructor is in the water or on the step beside every swimmer. Parents watch from the bench behind the glass or from the deck by the steps, and we ask that a parent or guardian stays on site during every class. Lessons are no substitute for adult supervision.
What to wear and bring
Swim shirts are welcome in every class. Please tie long hair back, bring a towel, and bring goggles if your swimmer likes them. Every swimmer wears a cap in their level's color, and we keep a few to borrow.
When to keep your child home
Please keep your swimmer home with a fever, a stomach bug or anything that spreads, and tell us so we can offer a make-up class.
Closures for weather and holidays
We close the pool for holidays and for repairs, and we text families. A class missed because the pool was closed is made up within the same session.
Leaving the program
Please give us two weeks' notice before a swimmer leaves, so we can offer the place to a family on the waitlist. What happens to a session in progress is on the enrollment page.
Drop-off and pickup
After class the instructor hands each swimmer back to a parent or to a grown-up named at registration. If someone new is collecting, tell the front desk before class.
Watching class
Brothers, sisters and friends are welcome on the bench behind the glass. Please keep them away from the edge of the pool and keep strollers in the lobby.
Screens and phones
Please keep phones away from the water's edge. Photos of other families' swimmers are not allowed on the deck.
